Sam is all wtf at Dean actually considering it, and after he looks back to see that he doesn't have Dean's full support, he actually feels the need to stand up and use his height against Castiel.


HOLY SHIT THINGS JUST GOT INTENSE. NOT THAT I EVEN NOTICED THE FIRST FEW TIMES SINCE I WAS STILL CRYING WITH LAUGHTER. I STILL KIND OF WANT TO CRY BECAUSE JEEEEESUS, CASTIEL'S PROFILE WHILE BEING ALL BAMF AND STANDING UP TO CHALLENGE SAM.


Before this episode aired, I was so afraid that once Castiel said they had to kill Jesse, it was gonna be Winchesters vs Castiel again, but Dean didn't take Sam's side (look at Sam's wtf face) even though he obviously also abhorred the idea of killing a kid. Because he put himself in Castiel's shoes and looked at it from his POV too. Because he has so much respect for him! He compromised! Tried to ease the tension between Sam and Castiel! BECAUSE HE LOVES THEM BOTH and cannot stand to see them so at odds with each other. OMG I love Dean. SO MUCH.


And Castiel! From glaring at Sam all hardass and shit, to looking at Dean with so much less antagonism. He's willing to listen to Dean just as Dean is willing to listen to him. Oh, OTP. My heart belongs to you so hard.



There's a moment here, after Sam insists that Jesse might make the right choice, and it's actually quite a long, drawn out moment, where Castiel wants to believe him. He looks almost sorry that he can't. FFFFF, I am loving this Sam and Castiel tension. I've wanted to see them interact more for ages, and now they're finally starting to, and it makes sense that there'll be tension, just like there was tension between Dean and Castiel in the beginning. I hope they work through it and become friends too!


So, I'll admit to not really liking Castiel's hypocrisy here. First he wants Sam to kill the kid and his argument is that Sam "would've done whatever it took to win this war" a year ago, and now he's blaming Sam for not making the right choice, i.e. compromising his humanity and conscience. Which is what he wants Sam to do again. :P Hahha I can hear the Cas-haters ripping into him about this already, but whatever. They can have this one maybe-valid point, I still love this angel to fucking bits and will chalk this up to Cas just being really confused too and lashing out at Sam like he lashed out at Dean in 5x02 because he needs to make a point and get his way, i.e. convince them to kill Jesse. He's still so new to this deciding what's right and what's wrong for himself thing, poor dear. ♥


Intense Sammy is intense! I feel for him, though, again going back to that hypocrisy on Castiel's part. Between Dean in the past few episodes and Castiel now, he's gotta be feeling so defensive.


Dean just looks down and purses his lips and again, DOESN'T TAKE A SIDE AGAINST EITHER OF THESE TWO PEOPLE HE CARES ABOUT SO MUCH. I just. reallyreallyreally love him. ♥


So, this is Ruby's knife, right? Not Castiel's angel-killing one? The knife that we last saw on Dean's person as they were walking up to Jesse's house? I don't think even Castiel could have stolen it while Dean was wearing the thing, so.. that leaves me to conclude that Castiel came to Dean privately and Dean gave it to him..? I mean, that's EPIC, OTP-wise, but I also can't decide if that's in character for Dean. I mean, would he have agreed to kill Jesse earlier if Sam hadn't been so against it and it would've meant taking Castiel's side against him? I can't really see Dean doing that. IDK. Maybe he did steal it after all. DISCUSS.

First thing Dean does once he can move again? MAKES A BEELINE FOR CAS WHO IS FACE DOWN ON THE FLOOR. ♥ And sure, he's distracted for a moment by Jesse asking if his mother's going to be okay, but it doesn't distract him for long. And even though he knows now that Cas won't break even if he is dropped, he still can't stand leaving on the floor for a moment longer than he has to. OTP, RIGHT?

I love that Sam doesn't lie to Jesse about the fact that some people will think he's a freak. Jesus, though, poor fucking kid. D: I also love that Dean is still standing guard by Castiel. ♥


Sam, by contrast, is MUCH less gentle with Castiel. He actually sort of slams him down in annoyance, as opposed to Dean's utterly gentle setting him down both times. Pffft. :P I like to think Dean comes over to remind him that Jesse's been up there for a long time at this moment because Sam inspecting Cas makes him nervous/restless and he wants to make him stop without actually telling him to stop. The way Sam glances at Dean almost like he's been caught doing something he shouldn't be doing supports this theory. \o/


DEAN IS SO SECRETLY HAPPY AND RELIEVED THAT CAS IS BACK. ♥ HE EVEN EYES HIM UP AND DOWN TO MAKE SURE! LOL ILU DEAN.


GRATUITOUS CAS FACES OF EXCESSIVE PRETTINESS. ♥ Really, though, I think it says a lot that he doesn't seem at all upset with the boys for not killing Jesse and letting him escape. This angel's heart is growing bigger because of them right before our eyes. ♥

I think this was a case of context - Dean mentioned something before about how they could take the wee!Antichrist to Bobby's and "raise him right," basically, in other worse to attune his powers in a good light instead of the training he would get from the demons. I don't think it's necessarily a case of using "demon powers" as it is just using "powers" in general - not only because Jesse's are not a choice, as Sam's were, but also because if they raise him with finely-tuned powers to fight evil (lol dramatic), it would help them immensely. Whereas, if the demons got a hold of him, they would approach the same powers but from a very different standpoint, using them for evil. If the Winchesters took him in, though, his powers would be used for good. Idk, that's the way I saw it. It doesn't seem so double standard-ish that way. *shrug*

And oh, Caaaaaaas, bb Ilu never change ever. Even when he was a total creeper and cornering Jesse a la trenchcoated child molester, he was still just so lovable. The pain and guilt on his face! He was obviously so conflicted about killing a child, and that just...gah. That shows so much of his character, and how far he's come, and FFFFF HE'S LIKE OUR VERY OWN LITTLE TIN MAN, GROWING A HEART OF HIS VERY OWN. ♥

Hmm, I really love the point you've made about it being a matter of choice for Sam but not for Jesse. And also, Sam had to kill a woman for his mojo in Lucifer Rising, which makes a huge, huge difference, whereas Jesse will have those powers no matter what. So in that sense I agree with you. But if Sam could have powers even without hurting anyone, and he used them for good like he tried so hard to do and like Dean wanted to train Jesse to do, Dean still wouldn't be on board with that, I think? He'd still be all "omg I'd wanna hunt you" whereas Jesse clearly is already and will always be a supernatural being and Dean doesn't wanna hunt him. Or maybe he kind of does want to, but wouldn't be able to bring himself to do it until Jesse actually showed some signs of being evil. Probably I'm just talking in circles. Mostly I agree with you. :D

Yeeeah, I don't necessarily agree with some of the things Castiel did in this episode, but I feel for him so much. If anyone's allowed to make mistakes, it's him, since his world's been turned upside down more than anyone's. DEAN'S VERY OWN LITTLE TIN MAN, AWWWWWWWWWWW, I JUST WANT DEAN TO HOLD HIM FOREVER, REALLY.

Gotta say I wasn't mad about Castiel mouthing off at Sam. Not because I think he was right to do so but because I am belatedly recognizing this as a personality trait or flaw that comes out when he's at his wits' end - either triggered by anger, frustration or confusion - first on 4.02 when he threatened to send Dean to Hell, then at 4.16 when he told Anna he wasn't nothing like her, (maybe) at the end of 4.20 with the 'I serve Heaven' line and of course 5.02 and this week's episode... he lashes out to protect himself and the unfeeling soldier mask he's been wearing since he started to doubt. He just goes for the troath when something hits too close to comfort, you know? - but, to be honest, I kinda like that, it makes him even more interesting imo. (Besides, him trying to make the brothers understand his point of view (especially when he himself wasn't eager to kill Jesse)? I wanted to hug him. Angel boy was so desperate.)

In short, I loved this episode; Dean was so happy with all the pranking around, lololol \o/ And Sam was kickass too! I loved him a bit more this week :')

Right, I've just watched that scene about ten more times, and I definitely agree that it was lashing out, trying to hit where he knows it would hurt and not worrying too much about staying consistent. He just needed to be right so badly and so urgently, and who wouldn't lash out when he's backed into a corner? It's such a human thing to do, which is exciting to see. I kept thinking back to the way he lashed out at Dean in 5x02, but you're right, it actually does go back way before that, even. Awww. It's alright, I can forgive his flaws. ♥

THIS SHOW. THIS OTP. I JUST, I CAN'T EVEN CONVEY HOW MUCH I ABSOLUTELY FUCKING LOVE THEM. ♥ ♥ ♥

I never laughed so hard with the whoopi-cushion scene, I swear to God. And the fact that Dean actually was probably planning to use it, if not on Sammy than on Castiel at some point, just makes the entire scene much more lovable and adorable and hysterical. MISHA'S DELIVERY OF "THAT WASN'T ME" AND HIM PULLING OUT THE WHOOPI-CUSHION FROM UNDERNEATH HIM, OMG PRICELESS. I WANT OUTTAKES OF THIS. THERE BETTER BE! Also, the fact that Castiel doesn't even question because he knows that Dean did it but doesn't really say anything, I am just in love.

You know, I don't really have much of a problem with what Castiel said to Sam because I understand both sides of the argument. Castiel is acting purely on survival instinct, but he's also learning about humanity at the same time. There's clear conflict when he's confronting Jesse, saying "I'm sorry" and I believe he truly meant it. He didn't want to do it, but knowing the dire consequences if nothing is done he had to. But his emotions, oh God, love it. With Sam it's clear that Castiel pushed that button which will definitely give a heated rise from fandom, but it's also true that Sam didn't make the right choices even though he should have known better. But in terms of Jesse, he's just a kid. A kid that doesn't understand what is happening to him, what he is and what he can do, and there is a chance for him to make that choice now before it's too late.

So, I don't have any problems with that scene. I loved the intensity and the tension between them, and how poor Dean is caught in the middle. Not choosing sides, and that is just, omg, I loved that. Dean looked so pained that the two people he loves and cares about are fighting. Awww, Dean.

CASTIEL AS AN ACTION FIGURE. CASTIEL THE ACTION FIGURE. DEAN TOUCHING ~*~AFFECTIONATELY~*~ AND ~*~CAREFULLY~*~ AT HIM, OMG. THAT WILL NEVER NOT BE SO UTTERLY PRECIOUS. ♥

I kinda adored Jesse. He's too adorable (AND YOU'RE RIGHT, HE'S TOTES LIKE HARRY POTTER HERE, OMGWHUT!) and so cute and I loved that all these emotions he's going through, from finding out the truth from the lies, and then actually making the demon disappear from his bio-mother like that, holy shit. That was awesome. The heart-to-heart talk between him and Sam about powers and choices and all that, best thing ever. I felt bad for him though, with everything he's going through. Finding out what he is and what he can do? My God, the poor dear. ;___;

The ending with Castiel and Dean and Sam, yeah. Castiel is learning about the strength of humanity, and that sometimes you do have to take that chance that one can fight against their so-called destiny. Aww, Castiel.

Jesus, sometimes I see these two and I just want to BREAK MYSELF over them because I cannot stand how utterly spectacular it all is.

vichan told me before I'd even seen the episode that there was going to be a moment that would make me laugh so hard I wouldn't be able to concentrate on the rest of the scene, and I was all, "whatever, I'll get over it" but then THAT happened and NOT EVEN INTENSE CASTIEL STARES COULD MAKE ME STOP CRYING OF LULZ. I think Dean totally planned to use it on Castiel, since Sam saw him buy it and his grin at the time seemed gleefully conspiratorial? XD Anyway, I AM SURE THERE WILL BE A MILLION OUTTAKES FROM THIS, AND MISHA TRYING TO SAY "THAT WASN'T ME" OVER AND OVER AGAIN BUT CRACKING UP EVERY TIME. I JUST KNOW IT. THE FACT THAT HE MANAGED TO PULL IT OFF WITH A STRAIGHT FACE EVEN ONCE IS AMAZING TO ME. Castiel probably didn't question it because after three months with Dean? Of course Castiel was really sorry, poor angel. So conflicted and still trying to stand on his own two feet and keep his head above the water. It's hardly surprising that he's still struggling with moral issues. He and Sam both had very valid things to say, and they were both right in their own way. I think that also contributed to Dean being torn between them. :( Really, though, must reiterate -- SO RELIEVED he didn't automatically take Sam's side just because he's Sam. Dean really is growing up. ♥

I SHIP DEAN/AF!CASTIEL. I MEAN, I SHIP THE TWO OF THEM IN ANY AND ALL FORMS, BUT. THIS ONE ESPECIALLY.

Also loved Jesse, SO HARD. And jesus, I felt terrible for him, poor kid! And he seems to be all alone, too, even Harry had friends.. :(

I love reading your reaction posts, and not just b/c of the pretty, pretty pictures. Your enthusiasm is infectious and has made me reconsider my initial reaction to the ep last night: "meh". I def. loved the little boy, and the mom/demon, and Cas. But I mcuh prefer seeing an evolved Dean (the one from 4.22 and 5.04) who is becoming a real LEADER and integrated human being vs. a devolved Dean who eats to much, is a horndog, has potty-humor-brain like the last two eps. I mean, I know those traits are DEAN, as much of him as the strategic thinker, the protector of kids, the self-doubting man (who happens to be loved by a male angel, but I digress) who went through 40 yrs of hell -- not to mention a truly shitty childhood ... all that is Dean, but I feel like it's the mofo apocalypse and this ep -- except for the anti-christ -- was Dean dicking around. I know every ep can't be Fighting the Apocalypse!! b/c that would get old too, but this just felt -- character-wise like a bit of a regression.

Sorry, just realized I'm babbling in your comments and you really LIKED the ep. I liked your squee and it's making me look at some of those things I disliked (on first viewing) and want to see it again (after downloading) to see if I change my mind.

Bottom line: TOTAL OTP. Even plasticness couldn't change that, as you have shown with photographic evidence. : )

Yeah, I think these particular writers are generally better at writing Sam, character-wise, and have a tendency to make Dean funny but shallow. On the other hand, I can see him doing the funny/shallow thing on purpose because he and Sam are still in the process of starting anew and he just wants it to be fun because that's how they bond, by having fun. Last season was no fun, and look what happened. I think he's serious enough when he needs to be, except for that whoopie cushion thing, lol, which he put there before he found out about the Antichrist.

It's alright, I love discussing and debating it! And I'm glad my squee makes you like the episode more, heee.

Now I kind of want them both to be plastic so they can have plastic love. ♥

I kinda liked the Castiel/Sam part. I sort of saw it more like, in season 4 he doesn't hate Sam at all - he does want him to do the right thing and he is disappointed in him when he doesn't (see The Rapture when Sam's all drinking demon blood and Castiel shakes his little girl head). In season 5, when he's asking about Sam, it's not so much about Sam himself as it is Dean-without-Sam. I thought, "BUT YOU DIDN'T" was anger but more like he let them down. Castiel believed that Dean would stop Sam and he believed, like Dean, that Sam would do the right thing. So, in a way, he let them both down. If that makes any sense...

It was kinda good, too, in a way, because Sam is big on the giving speeches about doing the right thing and choosing not to be evil, but when push came to shove, he failed the test. I hope this helps him really see that and he does better from now on. I hope Castiel and Sam become best friends too, just like him and Dean :D

Right, I agree, he doesn't seem to actually dislike Sam, but at the same time he hasn't quite forgiven him yet, either. This just seemed like a lot of lashing out on Castiel's part because he was desperate to convince them they needed to kill Jesse, which is understandable.

I think Sam did actually take his words to heart, if his later actions are anything to go by. Eeee, I ♥ Sam.

I heard that people were all up in arms about EVIL Castiel because he wanted to kill the kid, but seriously. He is so far from evil, it's not funny. He's scared and has no guidance. He's just learning how to make his own choices and he probably made the choice he thought he should. The kid is the ANTI-CHRIST hello! No matter how cute he was. And it didn't exactly turn out all fine because he's still the same danger he was before. Anyway, it's so complex and too bad everyone doesn't see that because Castiel is becoming so complex with each episode.

Just so you know, I will never think Sam/Castiel is better than Dean/Castiel, but a little dalliance once in awhile is fun.

I agree with you on this completely. Though he was entirely insistent that they kill Jesse, you could still sense that he was hesitant and afraid. Even when he was approaching Jesse, you could see the regret written all over his face, and the "I'm sorry" says it all.

Cas has ALWAYS done what he believes to be right and sometimes, what he believes is right doesn't necessarily coincide with what others believe. He is always seeking the path of truth, and you can see that happen all throughout season four and up to now. Evil!Cas does not exist, it's all Pure!With-a-little-bit-of-let's-get-naughty-with-Dean!Cas.

ASIDE from the Sam vs Cas thing. THAT was good. And I totally expected Cas to get a Dean!smackdown when he got all up in Sammy's grill, but nope. Dean did not defend Sam. I was SHOCKED and intrigued. *reads into things LIEK SO MUCH*

He was definitely a plot device, but I think there was some real character development too, what with him being so wrecked when he tried to kill Jesse and then being more or less okay with the fact that he got away in the end.

I think Dean actually agreed with both of them, and plus he obviously cares about both of them, so.. I'm glad he didn't choose a side. :)

I honestly had no problems at all with Cas' behavior in this episode and I find everyone's shocked reaction to wanting to kill Jesse interesting. I guess this generation hasn't had a big kid killer movie but I grew up having seen The Omen and Village of the Dammed and whatever movie that McCauley Calkin went killer in and while little kids can be cute, a kid with this much power? I was totally on Cas' side here.

And I really had no problem with the Sam interaction. I loved seeing it because I have wanted to see them interact and I think Cas is acting totally in character. He has been an angel for millenium, a rogue angel for what? A few months? Making the right decision, alone, without anyone to talk things over with has to be so hard.

My heart aches for Castiel. He's so alone. He doesn't even really have Dean like we all wish he did. I mean he's not riding in the back seat of the Impala, he's just flitting in and flitting out like I feared would happen. He's just out there all alone. No angelic host, no place to rest, no home. Where does he even go? What does he do all alone? I just ache for him.

Anyway, I enjoyed this much more than last week. The jokes were better. The whole concept of such a powerful being was a bad idea overall I think simply because he's like Q. You can't stop the Q, you can't stop the antichrist. He will do what he wants. So we have lame Australia whisking and more yellow crayon speeching but I do think the writers did a better job in Sam's redemption arc this week. He came across softer and less holier than thou and I liked him far better.

I dunno about everyone else since I haven't read the Cas-hating reviews of this ep, but I was a little sad that Castiel wanted to kill the kid not because he was a cute little kid, but because it stemmed from Castiel's loss of faith in humanity due to Sam (and Dean, too, maybe). I want him to have that faith back, and I think that was starting to happen by the end, so I'm actually pleased there was that contrast between the Castiel who tried to kill Jesse and the Castiel who didn't seem upset that he got away.

Castiel and Sam were both right, as far as I'm concerned. It's delicious to see that friction between them now, as well as Castiel's confusion and Sam's struggles to find his way back, and I hope they'll work through their issues soon.

I ache for Castiel too. :( I gotta assume that when he's not when Dean he's searching for God? I hope they address that at some point. But really, I can't see him hanging out in the motel while they're sleeping anyway, or riding in the back of the car when he doesn't need to. It's obvious from the way Dean's warmed up to him that he still gets to see him quite often.

Yeeeah, I was also uncomfortable with the whole "he can destroy the whole host of Heaven with one word" thing, because I don't think even Lucifer can do that? IDK, hahhaha your Q analogy makes me laugh, though.

I LOVED SAM in this episode, so much. ♥

I had this big angry post about how the whole 'it's not Cas's fault the world ended!', but after three times of trying to post it - I get it. The awesomeness of our ship will not let me speak in anger.

So let me talk about love.

Love that Dean would PULL a JOKE on THE ANGEL. Because they're not friends, they're buddies, best buddies who do awesome things together like go to whorehouses and fail to get whores or fix each other's clothing or give each other faith when they need it. Dean cares enough to pull a stupid joke on an angel! Cas care enough to just give him this look of, 'You know I know you so well that I know it's you, right?'

And Sammy, I love you Sam. 'I need to know someone can make the right choice.' YOU DID. YOU SAVED JESSE. It will not come around and bite you in the ass - Jesse is going to grow up awesome because you took a chance and had faith and God's going to give you a pat on the head and a cookie and you will be BFF's with Cas, because he's gonna get his faith in humanity back from you coming from the edge and his epic quest to find God is going to give you faith back in angels and light and goodness and you will so be the best man at their wedding!

...except that all happened in my head and not in real life, but yeah. I want to say this is the beginning of The Mighty Three - best team ever. *crosses fingers* C'mon, Kripke. The next two episodes are going to be Castiel-free. Give Me The Bonding.

It just says SO MUCH about their relationship and how close and comfortable they've grown that Dean would prank him and Castiel would just give him a look. Loved the picspam! It is now the first thing I look for after watching an episode because I miss so many little things.

About what you said about Castiel's hypocrisy (you got me thinking about that), maybe Castiel is just calling on Sam's hypocrisy, because it is true that a few months ago Sam's view on what was right or wrong was more than a little screwed up... So to hear him talking like that about being the good guys (like it is obvious), I think it just pissed Cas off and that he didn't mean that he should do whatever it takes now, it was just to knock him a peg.
I hope that was somewhat coherent.

That's an awesome point, oooh, about Sam's hypocrisy in talking like he's obviously one of the good guys. Poor Sam, though, he tries so hard to be. I can see where both of them are coming from, and I think they were both right. Castiel had good points to make even if he was so obviously just lashing out and trying to hit where it hurt.

Heeere's the thing I was thinking about a lot.

Last episode Dean was all, "Who could've known that killing Lillith would be a bad thing?" and I was like, YES THANK YOU YOU WANTED TO KILL HER AS WELL. But the thing is, Castiel did know. And he almost told Dean (that's what I interpret his "I have to tell you something" dream-scene as). And I feel:

1) He's learning how to feel, and one of the things he can feel now is guilt. And I bet he has a lot of guilt stored up about not telling Dean when he could have, before he got hauled back to heaven.

2) When you know something is true, and someone else doesn't, all the clues to how it's true are a million times clearer to you than they are to them. So, like, I bet Cas was watching them, praying that they pick up on the hints that Ruby was double-crossing them, that Lillith was the final seal, etc. And they just didn't, again and again and again. And so he's really, really frustrated with them, feeling a bit like, "You should have known." Which then loads his "You didn't [make the right choice]" with a lot more emotion, a lot more FAILURE on Sam's part than what would be there normally.

3) Lastly, I think he's very, very defensive about the fact that he did make the right choice. Him, an angel of the Lord, who hasn't really ever made a choice in his life, was faced with a monumental, impossible one, and he chose right, because he chose Dean. Sam didn't make the right choice, and he also didn't choose Dean. Which leads me to my last point:

4) Castiel knows Dean. Whatever happened in hell, Castiel looked at his soul and his soul looked back. The handprint, for me, proves their connection - a bit of Dean burned off into Castiel. And Castiel has always had an impossible understanding of Dean ("You don't think you deserve to be saved"), and although this has never really been established it's part of my personal canon that he can feel Dean's emotions, at least on some level. And right now, even though things are getting better between them, Dean is feeling really fucking betrayed by Sam. Not only because he started the apocalypse, chose Ruby over him, but because he knows in at least one future Sam says yes to Lucifer. And he's pushing down all that betrayal because he loves Sam, he loves Sam enough to forgive him. But Castiel gets it all, without the love, plus his anger that Sam is making Dean feel that way.

Yeah? Sense-making? Maybe I'm full of crap and I just love Cas enough to excuse him for anything, but...

1) You're right, I bet he has so much guilt stored up about that and no idea what to do with it all because he's not used to feeling it, so he does what's easiest, and that's to start blaming Sam and Dean. I can see it. It's not right, but it's understandable.

2) I hadn't thought of that before, but dude, that makes perfect sense. Awww, Cas, all that frustration. And it must make him even more guilty that he was so frustrated and yet still didn't say anything.

3) Of course he'd be defensive about it, it's the biggest thing he's ever done and he has to HAS TO believe it was right. Oh, Cas. :(

4) I LOVE THIS POINT SO HARD. And I completely agree, whatever anger Castiel has toward Sam may just be protectiveness over Dean or secondhand feelings from Dean. When they were apart he seemed all concerned about that because Dean wasn't doing so well without Sam, and now that they're together, Castiel can focus on the little things that are still making Dean unhappy. Yessss, I love this explanation. ♥

I loved this episode to pieces. Especially the Castiel and Sam tension. Bitch fight!

And oh god the whoopie cushion. I'm kind of hoping Castiel keeps it as something from Dean, and Dean somehow discovers he still has it. It would be weird for him, but also heartwarming.

I am also warming up to the idea of Castiel being all blankfaced as Dean sits down in the Impala and 'finds' the whoopie cushion again. A Castiel/Dean prankwar would make me cry a river of joy.

Hahahha Castiel's pockets must be full of things he collects from Dean over time -- the amulet, the FBI badge, and now the whoopie cushion. he has them all on his person AT ALL TIMES.
