And Cas telling Dean about all of his woes -- emphasizing how helpless he is, even, breaking his foot and all -- it's like he is secretly BEGGING TO BE SAVED even though he knows it's impossible, so he hides it behind smiles and laughs. Ugh, ugh, WHERE IS THIS FIC ABOUT DEAN FIXING HIM? SRSLY. D: What really gets me, though, is that it really seems like Cas regrets it. He's lost his Dean, his everything, to be left with a broken one who I'm sure he tried to fix but couldn't until it broke him too, and now he thinks the angel club is better than the human club. I really don't know how I feel about Dean being willing to sacrifice Cas as a decoy. I mean, it UPSETS ME, of course, that Dean took Castiel's unwavering loyalty and perpetual "of course"s and USED HIM as a decoy, but I can't bring myself to be THAT upset because he honestly is just that broken. I kind of like to think that little part of him that still loves Cas can see how much he's been suffering and is doing this as some sort of sick mercy killing thing? Because honestly, I don't think he expects to survive, despite all this talk of killing Lucifer. Sure, he thinks he'll do it, but I don't think he saw himself living without Cas or Sam or a WORLD after that. So maybe he had it in his head that he and Cas and Sam were all gonna die almost-together? Anyway, Cas here.. even if Dean hadn't later said that he didn't seem to be the only one with questions (and who could he possibly have been looking at other than Cas?), Castiel here makes me think he also saw through Dean but chose not to say anything about it, because he accepts Dean's orders unquestioningly, as we've already seen. When Dean goes "hey, ME (lolol Dean, Ilu, future!Dean called you Dean, but you can only call him ME?), can I talk to you for a second?" future!Dean probably knew what was up and his first instinct was to glance at Cas. I was downloading this ep, and then it actually failed on 98%, which hasn't happened to me in forever, and I threw a tiny little hissy fit, and then I started to redownload it, only to get called into work in, oh, an hour, so I wont be able to watch this ep till tomorrow, and I'm SAD, but this post made me soooo happy.

i was just about to go to bed when i saw that you posted and then i got all happy! OMG. that final scene with Dean & Cas. I've been saying this all night, but those are "I Love You" looks. When Cas says "We had an appointment" all i could hear was "We had a date." XDDD and then Dean looks at him all longingly and freakin SIGHS with a faint smile as if he's thinking, "yes, yes, we did. ♥" And he just misses his Cas SO FREAKING MUCH. I loved Castiel saving Dean at the end and the fact that he didn't move an inch from the spot.

I hated future Cas, but it was so obvious he was still very much devoted to Dean. The only time I liked him was when he said that he liked past Dean. That was cute.

I think I'm the only one who thought Sam as Lucifer was great. The innocence yet not innocence was creepy and terrifying. A perfect balance.

I feel we were cheated out of a hug. Dean could have hugged Castiel. He ALMOST did.

My favorite thing after the show is reading your picspam/comments and watching the way you break it all down. And I honestly missed the scene where Cas is looking away with lips pursed so great capture there.

"All he does while he's not with Dean is wait to be with Dean again." Yes this. I love the ease, the comfort in the phone scene. And hee - Cas does and will always say yes to Dean. (awwwww)

We went to the same place in the final scenes. My thoughts were also that Dean expected to die. Expected them all to die so sacrificing Cas was just part of the whole picture. It was still horrid and broken but yes, exactly what I thought.

I too had a problem with JP's Lucifer. It just wasn't quite there.

Back to staring at Dean and Cas together on the side of the road again.

Castiel was adorable; and I felt so bad for Future!Castiel, his smiling was interesting to see, but it was painful at the same time o.o; even being the way he was, he was still so endearing. "What? I like past-you." And I rather appreciated the winking, the stretching, the little laughs at Future!Dean's expense... well, everything Future!Castiel(Mr. Collins) did, just floored me.

The Deans were in desperate need of a hug (sadly, neither of them got) Oh, randomly, Dean hiding behind Chuck made me laugh, considering how adorable and small Chuck is compared to him; Chuck's smile at being a shield just made me love him even more.

Uhoh. Sam saying "yes," I can't help but wonder why. Bobby's empty wheelchair, saddest thing to see, ever. The thighholster, neat =3 Erm, I wish I could go on, but it's early ^^; gotta get ready for the day.

Future!Castiel's smiles and laughs were SO MANIC and SO UNCOMFORTABLE TO WATCH. Except when he giggled at past!Dean fucking up future!Dean's sex life, ahahahha, that was adorable. Misha did a freaking amazing job all around.

THEY SHOULD'VE HUGGED EACH OTHER, even though I know future!Dean is as far from the hugging type as it's possible to get. And it would've been a filming nightmare, too. XD

OMG I LOVE EVERYTHING ABOUT CHUCK, EVER. ♥

I hope the show will go into why Sam yes yes later!

Yes to everything like usual, and also, last scene near that bridge, with Sam, is the same one in Salvation, with John. Coincidental or symbolic? Still inner geek sorry...

BUT HOW WAS THAT SCENE WITH CAS AND DEAN BY THAT ROAD OMG, WE HAD AN APPOINTMENT, AND THAT LITTLE SMILE. STILL, I COULDN'T UNDERSTAND IF CAS SAVED HIM INTENTIONALLY OR NOT, AND IF HE KNOWS ABOUT WHAT ZACHARIAH MADE DEAN SEE...I NEED TO KNOW!!!

I totally didn't notice that the bridge was the same as the one with John. I can't even remember what happened in Salvation, I only watched the majority of S1-3 eps once. *facepalm* I'm glad they're bringing things full circle like this, though!
