1. Trimmed the flist due to a combination of being screwed for my first year PhD exam coming up and getting dangerously close to 200 again. Only people I haven't talked to in ages and ages, I think (tell me if I clicked the wrong button in your case, it's possible), but. Sorry. I'd keep everyone if I could. :(

2. taragel has this coworker who claims to have something of a history with Jensen, and she's been doing these investigations, mostly for fun, to see if there's a shred of legitimacy in any of her coworker's stories. We finally decided it would be awesome if someone could just straight up and ask him if he's ever heard of this chick, so.. is anyone going to Asylum this weekend willing to do us this little favor? I'll try to write you a little something, if you want (preferably Dean/Castiel). *bats eyelashes* Either way, if you're going -- HAVE FUN, TELL ME IF YOU'RE UPDATING ON TWITTER, TAKE PICS, AND HAVE MORE FUN! \O/

3. BSG, BSG, oh my god, I miss it, it was my show. The deleted scenes that just came out were a bit like a gut punch, actually. I've been feeling kind of disconnected from this show since the finale, but I think this summer I'm going to rewatch the whole thing and remind myself that the journey is more important than the destination. Who knows, I might even be inspired to write more parodies. :))

4. More BSG. I did scan some more stuff from that book, but haven't had time to mess around in Photoshop yet. Except, I'm feeling nostalgic at the moment, so here are two pages:

I actually liked the Kara/Lee/Roslin deleted scene. The scene makes much more sense with these few added lines: a) we learn Laura wasn't painting her nails while all hell broke lose on Galactica, she actually assumed something was going on, b) the little bit between Kara and Laura sheds some more light on their relationship and how alike they are in certain things and c) in contrast to the aired version, Laura is actually rather insecure here at first when it comes to talking to the people after she frakked up her dying leader role (or so she thinks), which makes much more sense.

I agree, that little exchange between Kara and Laura was awesome, I actually wish they hadn't cut that! It's not like it took up much time at all, and it really said a lot about where their relationship was at the time, like you said. And it also made Laura's getting her ass back into gear thing a little less abrupt. :P
