If I failed my exam today, I am so blaming it on Misha because I had to take a break from studying last night to watch updates from his panel. And then spend another couple of hours afterward daydreaming about him and seething with jealousy that I couldn't be in LA. Which was excruciating, let me tell you, I thought I'd gotten over not being able to see him at EyeCon but that was only because I'd momentarily forgotten just how awesome he really is. I keep reading con reports and quotes and thinking "I was so close to having a whole hour with that man" and oh god, I think I pretty much HAVE to go to the Vancouver and Chicago cons now. Like I said, bane of my existence.

And yet. And yet.

MISHA.

Another exam tomorrow. Must study. Therefore, have decided to compile all things Misha from the con, since I've seen a million posts but have this obsessive compulsive need to have everything in one place.

Misha's the one who enters the room like a rock star every time, and Castiel gets it from him.

Misha: "Holy shit, there are a lot of you!" Then someone told him that's what Jared had said and he acted all crushed and said, "Dammit, I really wanted just one scrap of original material here tonight" or something like that and then he was told Jared didn't actually swear, so the swearing was original.

He randomly swears. Constantly. Words like shit, fucking, asshole... I know there were others, but he speaks so eloquently that you forget he's cussing.

The staring thing Cas does seemed like a good idea when Misha thought he was going to be on for 6 episodes, but now? Not so much.

He is very flexible, but no. He doesn’t do yoga on a regular basis and he hurt his back on the guest shot for Nip/Tuck.

Misha is sarcastic and sweet, trying not to say too much cos his godson Joey is here.

His birth name is Dimitri.

Q: You don't blink on the show. Misha: I have synthetic eyelids that are remote-controlled.

Someone asked everyone the same question - you have to do a scene completely naked or sing a cappella, which would you choose? He said "Can I do both at the same time?" completely seriously, then laughed. He said naked, and she told him all the guys but Jensen had chosen naked as well. He called Jensen a pussy for choosing singing, and then said they all hang out naked in their trailers. It sort of became a running joke.

Misha is disappointed that Cas always gets bitch slapped and crumbles to the floor. He wonders if it's the first time Cas got hit and the writers didn't think he (Misha) had it in him to fight. Or maybe "Castiel is just a pussy" or "he's a turn the other cheek" kind of guy.

Misha Collins got into acting because his mother produced a lot of theatre plays at his school and always got the lead. In college he would make up accents to confuse people and make people wonder who he really was, see if he could get away with it. He confused his professors a lot, it seems. For a whole trimester he pretended he was from India and to prove it to us he started speaking with this outrageous ("pretty good" according to others) Indian accent.

He talked about the indie movie he did called Moving Alan, which there are clips for on You Tube. It's about a guy who is a soap opera actor who takes too much acid and goes out into the desert homeless and still thinks he’s on the show. He said it was a lot of fun to do, but it'll never be released.

Misha and his family were homeless and on welfare for awhile.

Misha interned at the White House one time because he wanted to go into Politics and hated it. Therefore he pursued a career in acting just for "shits and giggles." When he got two roles really easily, he moved to LA thinking it was that simple. It took him 9 months to get a gig, and that was a small role in "Charmed."

Misha had a hard time on Charmed, first gig. "Miserable experience." But hey, Alyssa Milano slipped him the tongue during an onscreen kiss, the next day she treated him shitty, maybe cause he did not tongue her back. Couple years later she didn't recognize him.

His godson told Alyssa Milano that Misha breastfed until he was six.

He told Joey that he wasn't allowed to talk to any of us at the con. Then he said, he had the feeling that Alyssa Milano spends a lot of time giving tongue. We laughed, then he said, "Wait, delete, I take that back, can we forget I said that? Don't tell anyone I said that!" and apparently Alyssa is a nice person.

Misha kept having affirmation issues--he was always concerned that he wasn't very good, to which everyone in the audience applauded.

One of Misha's favorite actors is Bill Murray. Likes The Man Who Knew Too Little. He said he's seen it a thousand times.

When he read the script he thought it was just some teenie CW show but once on set he was in love with it.

The makeup people worked on his hair a lot when he first started, like an hour, but now it's scrunch, scrunch and it's done.

At the con, backstage he asked Jared why they never pranked him and Jared said "because I'm too. . . . (Misha waffles here and lands on ) fragile. (Then he pauses and adds), "well the word he used was gay."

When asked about Keifer landing on him and punching him in the throat in 24, Misha asked if it was going to be research for some slash fic. He also said he doesn't really remember it but he couldn't talk for a week and "It doesn't visit me in my dreams."

Misha on fandom: very interested in subcultures that grow organically, how it all works, how people get together on the internet and the groups that come about from it, and that fandom is interesting to him in that way. He is also fascinated by slash fic. "I read only one but it stuck with me. I'd like to explore more of it, study it, read more slash, if I could do it without being molested."

He said that the Supernatural set is great to work on. It's the best crew and cast he's worked with. He said he thinks Jared and Jensen sets the tone for that. He said they are very welcoming. This was the second time he mention the three of them naked in the trailers, that's how welcoming they are.

He also mentioned that he thought Kim Manners had a lot to do with the tone of the set, he was the patriarch and it's a good set. He said when a director recently got upset over something, Jensen said something to him, like 'we are doing our best.' He thought that was good, that the stars aren't prima donnas. Not much, he said jokingly. That he's been on sets that were totally opposite. Like Charmed.

When asked about pets, he launches into this tale of woe about how he's not good with pets and he has these two female red-eared slider turtles and one turtle is named Drydraluxalow. Then he says he dreamed the name and woke up and knew that's what he had to name one of the turtles so he wrote it down, promptly forgot it then had to "refer to the text" to officially name the turtle. But now he's sad because the turtles hate each other and "it's depressing because they only ever see each other. What am I going to do? I'm not going to mediate."

At one point during his panel someone asked a funny question, and for the love of God I can't remember what it was, and Misha was listening to it while drinking out of a water bottle and I swear he almost spilled it all over himself when he heard the question. Maybe someone has a vid of it but his reaction was hilarious.

Misha's photo op had a long line because it wasn't organized like the J's where we'd sit in the auditorium and wait to be called, but it was cool. He was all smiles and tried to coax a little girl in line to go and stand with him but she wouldn't. He was all, "I can pick you up if you want me to." and she shook her head.

Misha walked in to say hi to the guys during autographs. (and apparently hugged them!) It was cool to see them interact. He talked to Daneel, too.

While signing a book and being told, "Please note that I did NOT go up and make you recite it." He said, "That was very charitable of you."

And he was very nice to a girl that drew fanart of Castiel, thanking her and saying he really liked it.

The dessert party exploded when he entered, because we all didn't want to get our hopes up that he would actually make it. I thought it was a typo on the schedule. He actually seemed happy to be there. He said that his friends and family don't watch the show (even though he would kind of like them to) so he never gets feedback. He was practically begging to hear our reaction (as it was, mostly screams and squeals and whistles) and seemed genuinely pleased to be recognized.

...I think I'm going to have to update my list of evidence that he ships Dean/Castiel after this weekend, eh? XD But god, of COURSE he'd be the one, out of all of them, to be fascinated by fandom and how we express our love for the show. Misha, who's been to Burning Man and who is all about radical ways of self expression and who doesn't get scared by ours. ♥ And oh my god, the turtles. The turtles, poor Misha and his turtle woes, hahahahahaomg.

ON THE HEAD OF A PIN. GOD I HAVE BEEN WANTING HIM TO TALK ABOUT THIS EPISODE SINCE I SAW IT. He gets chills when he gets to cool scenes, which happened in OtHoaP and several other scripts. (omg!) I just can't believe someone managed to write down the name of Misha's turtle, LOL! I tried, but gave up. At work today, I read Kissing It Better by strangeandcharm that I'd printed out, instead of, you know, shoe stuff. And yesterday, I rushed home on my lunch break and searched for con updates. And still haven't done any homework. We're both gonna fail together. And it's gonna be glorious, because MISHA!

He's on NCIS right now in Australia. Well, by on, I mean I missed the start with him, and so far since I've turned on the tv, I've only seen pictures (Tony keeps looking at the picture, slashy!) and a lot of talking not involving Misha. I'm getting annoyed.

Omg Misha was so cute on NCIS, omg. I want one. It's so weird to hear him talking in Not!Cas voice, although I've seen him talk in interviews a bunch. My best friend, on the other hand, has never heard Misha talk other than Cas, and she's freaking out.

I love the turtles name. Misha is such an oddball, it's fantastic. And his hands! I can't believe they're bigger than Jensen's. It's not like Jensen has tiny little girl hands, either. Although I should have figured they were big when Cas shook Sam's hand and it didn't look hilarious.

Random passerby! Hullo :D Thank you so much for this list, I love going back and reading things I remember vaguely and now can affirm actually happened.

I asked Misha about his fight scenes (specifically against Alistair), and that's when he responded that Castiel just gets bitchslapped all the time, so it was nice to have a first time to stand up and actually do something.
