In which Tracy officially helps take Misha's con virginity, and kisses and tells.

This is the mostly-picture-free report because the internet connection at this hotel is slow as balls and wouldn't let me batch upload files to LJ's gallery, so only five pics for tonight. Over a hundred more tomorrow when I get home! (And yes, ze_pink_lady, I'll have you know I went to Best Buy yesterday and bought a brand freaking new camera because I am just that easily persuaded. It's nothing hugely fancy, but it's a damn sight better than my old one.) Sorry if it's less coherent than I'd like it to be, it's late and I've had a long day but I've already gotten a couple impatient comments on my last post, so. XD

In no particular order, paraphrased, and sadly incomplete since I didn't actually take notes during the panel, here is what went down:

Charles Malik Whitfield (Henricksen) had his panel just before Misha's, so we all saw Misha walk into the room and head for the area behind the curtains. As he was wrapping up, Malik peaked back behind the curtains and went "Oooh, there's an angel back there. Stripping. And there's a pole back there, too." Which the crowd obviously went wild at, so then when Misha came on the stage (hah) he THANKED HIS PIMP FOR THE INTRO.

And good god, you guys, I'd already seen him up close because photo ops were before the panel (DUDE, YOU GUYS, HE HUGGED ME, I HAVE PHOTOGRAPHIC EVIDENCE WHICH I WILL BE POSTING LATER), but let it be emphasized that that man is fucking gorgeous and he absolutely took my breath away all over again. jfkd;salfkjskl fuck. Just looking at him SITTING THERE was. unbelievably amazing. His first question was "How does it feel to be loved by thousands of fangirls?" And he did a downcast-eyes, little-puppy-dog look and replied "It's terrible." Fucking adorable.

I believe the second question was about Nip/Tuck, only it was phrased like "that scene in that episode of a TV show you did" so he adamantly denied having any idea what the question was about for awhile, hahahaha, that man is so easily embarrassed, who knew? But eventually he talked about how he'd been asked at the audition if he was flexible and if he did yoga and he wasn't and he didn't, but he lied and got the part. So when he actually did the scene, it hurt like hell and he was hunched over in pain for a week after that, though I'm sure he was exaggerating because I did it too, also with no background in yoga, and it didn't hurt at all. Anyway, he said the pain was the reason he was able to keep a straight face while saying those lines. :P THEN, THEN, someone in the crowd yelled out "what scene in what TV show?" and he did his I-have-no-idea expression, adorable as ever. But he eventually went on to explain that he'd played a yoga instructor who had certain natural endowments and who was very flexible, and who therefore spent a lot of time with himself, and that's all he would say. I think he also said something about being glad his grandmother thought his episode was on Fox or something and thus missed it. <3 Oh, and later, there was another question about Nip/Tuck, and he said he kept cracking up during that scene with Katee, which was really embarrassing because he didn't even have any lines and yet he was the reason they had to keep doing retakes until they eventually just edited him out, or something to that effect. :))

Someone asked him to read part of a poem he'd written, and he was SO EMBARRASSED, you guys. He was going to try to get out of it by saying he didn't remember any of it by heart, but she brought the book with her, so he read a bit. Cannot remember what excerpt as I was too busy gazing stupidly and taking pictures, but he was all "..I wasn't nervous before, but I am now.." and did I mention adorable?



He was further embarrassed later on when someone asked him to say the line "You should show me some respect" and he seriously faffed around and got so self conscious and said he wouldn't do it right and would just disappoint us and himself and. Oh god, broken record, but whatever, deal with it, SO FUCKING ADORABLE. Then he asked the person who asked him how it went, and she did her best impression, so then he did his, and it was. Oh god, his voice got all deep and serious and it was so in character, just like Castiel, and I got shivers. Hottest fucking thing ever, especially since I've got such a huge thing for his voice, though he said he'd never felt more ridiculous in his life. ♥ Some time later, someone else asked him if he'd do his original demon impression for us, since when he first auditioned for SPN he thought the role was a demon. This time he refused, adorably, going "mmmmm, nahhhhhh....." a couple of times and "I don't want to" and looking all embarrassed and saying "I'm not your monkey! I mean, I already read you guys a poem!" jfkdls;alkdfjslkd SORRY THIS IMAGE IS FUZZY:



kitsu84 asked him for his thoughts on Castiel falling, and he said he did hope Kripke will take Csstiel in that direction because it would be more interesting. He said it wouldn't be terribly fun if Castiel just followed orders blindly, that it would be a waste of a good character, so he was all for that idea. Then he said it would have something to do with Dean. Which is OBVIOUS, okay, but just hearing him say it makes my heart soar. ♥

In regards to the park bench scene and watching children (I can't remember the exact question), he said "Are you asking if Castiel is a pedophile?" flskdfjlsdkfd nnngh. Then he went on to talk about how that part was actually sort of a pain to shoot because there were sprinklers that could apparently be turned on by buttons the kids had access to, so the kids pressed the buttons all the time and then it'd be another twenty minutes before they could do another take, hahahha.

Oh, and he said FUCK. He was saying he'd have given much more thought to the trenchcoat if he'd known he was going to wear it all the time, and that it was cheap and ugly and he "hated the fucking thing." He also said "I've written some shitty screenplays" at some point, but I think those were the only two times he swore. XD

I'm not entirely sure I'm getting the order of this bit right, but someone asked him what other character he'd have liked to play on SPN, and his answers were God (tongue in cheek) and Lucifer. Then this may or may not have led into talking about portraying Christianity on the show and how difficult it would have to be to actually show God or Lucifer because in this country where Christianity is such a huge thing, you "don't wanna touch god the wrong way." Yes, he actually said that, DON'T WANNA TOUCH GOD THE WRONG WAY, and then of course he got enormously embarrassed AGAIN and wanted a rewind. :)) I LOVE HIM SO MUCH.

At some point he also talked a little about his childhood, which was apparently very financially difficult as they were often broke and on welfare or even homeless, and he went through a teenage rebellion stage where he thought very poorly of his mother, but in the end she was his inspiration (I think!) for his acting career, and he didn't actually come to really appreciate her till more recently. Apparently she used to direct plays at his (elementary?) school every year, and he'd always miraculously end up with a leading role. XD It was all terribly sweet.

And there was this story about one of the most recent episodes he'd filmed, which I don't think is spoilery but which I will white out anyway: Apparently there was a kid on set but also this 40 year old woman who was small enough that she looked like a kid from behind, so he mistook her for the kid. And she was supposed to be reading lines and he was supposed to be all serious and emotional (I raised my eyebrow a little at the "emotional" bit, but he didn't elaborate), but she was so terrible and clueless and he kept having to point out her lines in the script and he couldn't stop biting his cheeks to keep from laughing. And of course Jensen and Jared were also around, laughing, which didn't help. ♥

Another Dean/Castiel tidbit: Someone asked how he'd like for the series to end, and I think he said he didn't want it to end, though I'm only about 75% sure because it could've been one of the other guests, gah, terrible memory. Anyway, then he said he'd like for him, Dean, and Sam to be sort of like a band of brothers, and they could all settle into a nice country home. The girl who asked the question said "but not together, right?" and Misha shrugged and went "hey, you guys don't know what Castiel is thinking!" fkdlskfjdsl squeed so hard, you guys. SO HARD. At some point, possibly before this, he also said it sort of made him sad (maybe that wasn't the word, but I think that was the gist) that there was always so much tension, either Dean and Sam were pissed at each other or Dean and Castiel were or someone was always pissed at someone, and he just wanted them to all get along. though he conceded that the tension made for a good show. I agree, of course, but I JUST WANT DEAN AND CASTIEL TO BE BFFS ALREADY. :(

He also talked about how he started a software company in college or right out of college or something, and tried to support it for awhile with his acting career until he decided he'd got it all wrong. :)) ♥ How much do I love that this man knows how to program software, though? That's so much closer to my level of geekiness than he usually is and drives home, more than ever, just how fucking well-rounded he is. He also told us about building his house and much of the furniture in it, but that was nothing we didn't already know so I won't go into it.

Unfortunately, there have been no pranks. :( He said the boys wouldn't dare prank him, hahahha, but really it was because they'd toned it down a lot, both because they didn't want it to escalate anymore and because of Kim Manners, though maybe the Kim Manners comment was from another guest who also got asked about pranks, I'm not entirely sure. Yeah, in fact, I think it was someone else, oops, but the comment about not wanting it to escalate was definitely Misha.

Uhhhm, uhhm, lemme think, what else? Here is a bit of tongue:



He said he loved being on our good side, and that if he was Ruby he'd have to cry himself to sleep because we're so mean, lol. I'm not sure if these bits went together, but he also talked about how lucky he was to have had such an awesome intro, saying the awesomeness of his entrance would've made anyone look cool. And saving the lead character was a good thing, of course. LOL, and I just remembered the funny part of this, apparently the light sparks actually singed his hair and scalp, and he had to pretend it didn't hurt. And the salt rounds thing, whatever they put under his clothes for effect, was really alarming and it was all he could do to not jump every time and/or look down, which apparently could've blinded him? I don't even know, but it was adorable. He also said "Dean didn't actually stab me," all cute-like, before talking about how he had to do so many takes because he kept pulling out the handle wrong. Apparently he always curved it downwards, or something, so when he watched the final take he could literally see himself concentrating on pulling it out straight, hahahaha. God, it was precious. Speaking of watching himself, though, apparently it always embarrasses him to watch himself so his based his "favorite scenes" on the ones that embarrassed him least. ♥♥♥

More cute: someone asked him something about the way he keeps appearing and disappearing, and he actually made the dude come on stage and got another person so he could show us how he always has to hide behind someone and then run into place to make it look like he just appeared, or something, I'm not exactly sure how that worked because I was too busy melting over Misha doing his little hide and jiggle-run on stage. Good god.

Here are a few more things, in list form now because I'm getting terribly sleepy and I've gotta get up early for the drive back and my memory is starting to fail:

- He didn't know if he'd rather play Sam or Dean, but he could totally do either of them better than those boys. ♥
- When he landed the role, he thought maybe he should bust out a harp and start practicing, but he bought a bible instead.
- HE WOULD LOVE TO ANGEL-SMACK DEAN AT SOME POINT. Because Dean is so rude, and he's got it coming to him, and Misha wanted to write Eric about this, hahahahha.
- Total wuss about scary movies because he gets way into movies and finds it difficult to separate himself from them.
- Listens to a wide variety of music from Beethoven to techno dance, listed a few artists I can't remember, ring tone is iTouch defualt.
- He could see Castiel taking Dean to some sort of heaven camp sometime and teaching him a few things, though he hoped Castiel wouldn't give Dean all his powers.
- Misha totally didn't even prepare for his first two auditions (I forget what they were for, sorry), but apparently his "just reading lines" and calm arrogance because he thought that would be easy was better than everyone else. (But of course.)
- He's not personally a huge fan of anything so he's really amazed by how invested we are. Apparently he got some gifts from a Korean girl and was really touched. ♥

There was something else glorious, I think, but for the life of me I cannot remember it right now. D: I hope to god this video will be up on YT at some point. So, I gotta say now, this panel was fucking amazing and everything I ever thought Misha would be, and thank god no one asked any terrible questions, but I was pretty D: D: because I'd stood in line for the entire hour but we ran out of time. The dude in charge cut off the line at the person right in front of me, so I never got to ask him about Jensen and Jared's reaction to his Nip/Tuck episode. GAH.

I did get to ask about the pink apron picture later, though, since I'd printed it out to get it signed. The woman helping him with autographs said she hadn't seen anyone else bring that picture, surprisingly, so when he saw it he totally laughed and went "Sweet!" I mean, I was kind of dazed and starry-eyed, but I asked him if it was a manip and he told me it wasn't. Then of course I asked him for the story behind it, and he went "yeah, sure, let me write first and then I'll talk," like he was actually concentrating on signing my picture, and. jfdkslfslkfj So apparently the gist of it is Burning Man, which he told me to look up, and the website says it's "an annual experiment in temporary community dedicated to radical self-expression and radical self-reliance." Apparently a bunch of people get together for a week in a desert and do crazy hippie shit, I'm not sure, but it's so Misha that I'm even more in love now. So that's where that came from. :P I thought about asking my Jensen/Jared Nip/Tuck question too, but in the end I settled on telling him he had an absolutely captivating onscreen presence and he gave me the prettiest smile and thanked me. Then I told him he was the only one who could make me take my eyes off Jensen, and I think for a moment he wasn't sure how to react to that, but then he laughed and did a little victory fist thing and went "Yes!" I sort of really died on the spot.

And btw his birthday is August 20 (I got themadfish to ask because I had to ask about the pink apron, and she said Misha even tried to change his birthday on IMDB but they wouldn't let him, hahha poor bb). And he's not wearing a ring, even though that's none of our business. His two banners sold for $550 and $500, which I was extremely D: D: about because I was only willing to pay $300 but which I'm also :D :D about because I don't think even the Dean/Sam/J2 banners went for more than $200. I mean, I got my Jensen banner yesterday for only $80. But now he'll have to be alone on my wall without his Castiel, which really sort of breaks my heart a lot. :(

God, I'm going to sleep, I've been at this for almost two hours now. And that's after sitting at the bar for hours till it closed, even though I was pretty sure Misha wasn't going to show up on account of having been signing autographs for hours and being exhausted. But I couldn't take the chance, just in case. :P There will be proper squeeing and more pictures and more other stuff tomorrow when I am less exhausted. ♥

I keep wondering about the lack of ring....but it's so tacky and horrible to want to delve into his personal life. But at the same time....NO, IT'S NOT OUR PLACE.

*G* And the thing is, there were little kids at that con, at every panel. NO ONE else slipped, not even Jim Beaver, but Misha did. TWICE. That just makes me love him all the more.

God, I am SO RELIEVED there weren't any uncomfortable questions, and I think he had a good time! Man, communication.. I actually stuttered, and I'm sure I blushed, it was terribly embarrassing. But he's good at making people feel comfortable.

You know, he's so unconventional in every way that it would be completely unsurprising if he was married and just didn't want to wear a ring. I actually kind of like the thought of him being married.. if anyone deserves to be happy, it's that man.

So apparently the gist of it is Burning Man, which he told me to look up, and the website says it's "an annual experiment in temporary community dedicated to radical self-expression and radical self-reliance." Apparently a bunch of people get together for a week in a desert and do crazy hippie shit, I'm not sure, but it's so Misha that I'm even more in love now.

It's more of an Alt crowd than full out hippies, though, just a heads up. At the end of the week they burn a giant wooden man and there's lots of dancing, lots of crazy outfits, lots of over the top artistic stuff that normally you'd be screwed out of a job if you wore/did, And did I mention it's clothing optional?
