Okay, I thought it was NOT Sam's plan, that he kind of figured it out when she showed up and forgave her because she'd obviously been tortured badly. She left when he was asleep or something? I only watched it once and was kind of freaking out through the whole thing so maybe I'm wrong. TIME TO WATCH IT AGAIN, I GUESS.

Oh my god oh my god oh my god the Dean/Castiel. Here Dean is pitting himself against Castiel for the whole episode but then he shows up and LOOKS AT DEAN and DEAN LOOKS BACK and PWNS THAT DEMON BECAUSE OMG SO NOT ALLOWED TO HURT HIS CASTIEL. HIS CASTIEL, AND THEY BOTH KNOW IT, THAT FUCKING LOOK. MY LIFE IS COMPLETE, OH MY GOD.

I don't think they'll angelize him or whatever, but maybe in Castiel's quest to find feeling he'll make Dean realize that being able to feel things is a beautiful thing, HOW CORNY I KNOW BUT SRSLY. maybe it will even tie into Sam's salvation somehow. SOMEHOW. God there is so much freaking potential here..!!!

God, this may actually have been the episode in which Ruby won me over a bit. I mean, I never really hated OR liked this one, but she was awesome in this episode. I love that she's out for herself and yet loyal to Sam (AND DEAN. SHE WAS ALL, BOTH OF THE WINCHESTERS. KFLD;SALFK ♥). And now that I've had some more time to think about it I really like that Sam covered for her. Still not into the whole physical aspect of their relationship, but awwwww. THEIR TRUST. IT IS SO PALPABLE I WANT TO STROKE IT.

AND DEAN SAVED RUBY TOO, IN THE BEGINNING. AND THEY SHARED A LOOK. NOT A FRACTION AS SMOLDERING AS THE LOOK HE SHARED WITH CASTIEL, BUT AWWW BBS. ♥!!!!

Yeah, I think that's what Ruby's line about Sam's abilities getting flabby was about. Said he needed to tone up and then exorcise Alistair, but you're right, it wasn't even a close match at all. I also like the old Ruby better (though I never liked her a whole lot either, tbh), but this one started to grow on me in this last ep.
