Okay loves, let's forget about the SPN misogyny thing for a few minutes to focus on something infinitely more gratifying: LEE/KARA. BECAUSE I HAVE BECOME SO OBSESSED. seriously, guys, I joined TEN BSG COMMS and made a FANVID. lol god, my first one, I've never even made a Harry/Draco vid. That's how obsessed I am. really, though, BEST SHOW EVER PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE WATCH IT AND SQUEE WITH ME. There aren't enough BSG fen on my flist. :(

I've also uploaded it here, just for kicks. And I have a question for those of you who make fanvids (in Windows) and actually know what you're doing: What program do you use? I tried Windows Movie Maker but it was crappy and I basically had to put together separate video and audio streams and combine them in VirtualDub like a loser. :|

House finale: oh god. I need angsty House/Wilson fanvids. Maybe I'll make one myself. I also need season 5. or just more Hugh Laurie. SPEAKING OF WHICH, he's in that Street Kings movie and his bald spot amuses me SO MUCH. other than that, he's pretty much just like House. brilliant and sarcastic and snarky and bastardly (beautifully so). He says 'fuck' in it, heheehee, and talks about getting head. *_*

I do like Lee most of the time. I have a hard time liking Kara. I also feel bad for Anders and I liked the interaction between Anders and Kara in the beginning so that doesn't help.

*laughs* Lee does make up his mind about what he wants to do professionally, more or less. And Kara's been all about the Earth thing since the beginning of S4.

Lee is just SO PRETTY and I love love love everything about Jamie Bamber's acting. and I didn't really like Kara in the beginning, but she's grown on me. Same with Anders.

I like Atlantis but I can't get into it. I love SG-1 so so much. I mean, it's campy, silly, unrealistic, and really the main characters are kinda retarded. BUT I LOVE IT. I love the chemistry between the characters, I love their stupid comments and their banter. It has the ability for me to giggle like an idiot and break down crying. <3!!

That's probably Atlantis. They're the main characters of Atlantis. There's been crossovers, but that's just a few episodes.

I'm not sure which you'd like more. The majority of my friend's list seems to like Atlantis more or at least just as much. But I think a lot of people who like Atlantis like the interaction between Sheppard and McKay and enjoy slashing them together. With SG-1 if you end up falling in love with the characters, then you start ignoring its faults.

BOTH. !!! I never gave much though to Gaeta (except when they almost airlocked him) till this episode, but now I am all *_* over him. Alessandro Juliani (the actor) is actually a professional singer, I think. fjds;afsk SO BEAUTIFUL.

Hahha yeah, I could see the Sheppard/McKay in the few eps I watched. :) Both shows are on my hopefully-I'll-watch-someday list, so we'll see.

Yeah~ And looking at some other interviews and the gag reels and stuff, I think him being gay is sorta of an ongoing joke since he's the only regular cast that hasn't had a relationship. So everyone figured that he must be gay.

aww this is lovely, so touching. The song suits perfectly. I think you should keep away from the talking heads tho, thats a bit distracting. As a vidder I started out with wmm, moved on from that to ulead, and now use vegas. You can download a fully working trial version of ulead to see if you like it. Hope this helps.

Hey, you're hella clever if you can put this together with virtualdub. I still haven't figured that out. WMM = made of suck, mostly, but it has some interesting transitions and effects.

I use sony vegas 7, personally. I can do everything but make me tea and toast in the morning - and this is from a person who started vidding properly in Decemberish - so I really have only scratched the surface of what vegas can do.

I use virtualdubmod to cut my clips.

As for the SPN misogny - a-frakkin' men. I actually loved the first two season. Season 3 . . . for some reason I think the writers and producers forgot their fanbase is primarily WOMEN. The show never had a good track record with representation of women.

I just got sony vegas 8 as per earp_girl's recommendation, but starting Saturday I'll be out of the country for two months (and I haven't got a laptop), so it'll be awhile before I can start playing with it, unfortunately. Looks pretty fancy, though, so I'm excited. :)

Re:SPN - Really I'm just tired of the whole debacle. I got into the show for the boys' interactions and because I think Jensen's performances are absolutely captivating. Those things are still there, so I still love the show and I still love Dean, and I'm more or less inclined to turn a blind eye on issues like this for lack of time/energy to get involved, especially since I know it'll just frustrate me.

For some reason I never really got into the SPN fandom in general, but now that I've wet my feet a little in vidding, maybe I'll toy around with SPN vids too. :)
