I don't think I've seen him in anything since BSG. Fuck, I miss BSG. In fact, I spent pretty much the entire episode of House viscerally missing BSG. I miss Lee and Kara and Six and Baltar and Adama and Tigh (I WAS ALSO V EXCITED TO SEE HIM ON SPN) and Laura and Sam and Helo and Athena and all of it. :( But speaking of, what's this about Bryan Singer doing a reboot of BSG? It was just rebooted a few years ago, maybe he missed the memo, how can he possibly do better? Skepticism, I has it.

In other news, I got super excited over the reappearance of Castiel's coat, and then it made me sad that I've been reduced to getting super excited over a stupid coat.

What else? Oh, I went to Asylum 7 a couple of weekends ago. Also I am thinking about quitting my job to go work on an organic farm in Nepal or something. Horrible idea? Intriguing idea? If anyone has any experience with WWOOF I'd love to hear about it.

So how're all of you?

there's this british show he was in earlier this year called outcasts, and I honestly tried to watch it but couldn't even make it through ONE episode. I was so disappointed. anyway, I stopped watching House this year after the disaster that was last season, so I didn't see him on it. :(

Yeah, and he was on Law and Order UK but I never watched that either. I am a horrible fan.

It's worth watching just this one episode! He is so beautiful in it.

WWOOF sounds like a pretty cool thing to do. Guh, I wonder if I do it in the summer if it'd count as an internship credit thing I need. I hope someone on your friend's list has experience with it!

I was at Asylum 7 too, it was my first SPN convention. I had a great time! :)

Has it been confirmed that it was indeed THE Coat? Last I saw was an unclear screenshot of something that may or may not be tan and/or fabric.

I'm glad you had fun! Seems like the queues ruined it for a lot of people, which is unfortunate.

Well, I don't know what else it could be? I'm happy to believe it's THE coat.

I'm pretty sure it is THE coat, as I just rewatched the end of it on the CW site. And it's definitely a tan fabric thing that looks like a large clothing item (over a blanket or a backpack).

And suddenly I'm looking forwards to House more than usual!

(I was very close to breaking up with House after the mess that was the end of last season but then it came back really, really strong and suddenly I feel good about it again!)

Speaking of BSG folk: James Callis was in Merlin a couple weeks back doing this lolarious deep, gruff voice that I couldn't stop laughing at.

Also: I did not know that about the coat! (So out of touch with fandom, I MISSED THE INTERNET SO MUCH) That is a pretty awesome effort on the prop department's half.

Also also: Please to be talking about Fringe with me Tracy because the amount of evens I can't cannot be textually rendered. *_*

I squealed so hard when I first saw Jamie. <3 This season is okay except I really cannot stand that Korean chick! SHE IS SUCH A HORRIBLE ACTRESS.

Aww, that makes me want to watch Merlin. But really all the BSG actors should just cycle through SPN. We've already had a few -- Tricia, Mark Sheppard, Michael Hogan, someone else I'm forgetting -- but JAMIE AND KATEE, COME ON.

Haha maybe the prop department is rooting for Cas too and will try to sneak his coat into every scene possible. That would be hilarious, SPN episodes would turn into CAN YOU SPOT CAS'S COAT?

YES GOD I CANNOT EVEN ARTICULATE MY FEELINGS ON FRINGE. ~PETER~ AND HIS D: OVER NO ONE REMEMBERING HIM OMG. AND LEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE, LEE IS KIND OF BECOMING THE NEW CHARLIE FOR ME BUT FUCK I STILL MISS CHARLIE.

I know! He looked so very pretty and now I'm kicking myself for not watching UK Law and Order way back when (because I found it boring and it had Freema Agyeman, who's in my top 10 most annoying actresses). Oh, well...

You should definitely check the Merlin ep. with James Callis. He was truly great in it (I didn't think his gravely voice was lolarious, as another commenter said - in fact, it took me 15 minutes to place him, so unlike Baltar he was).

Erm... I hadn't even noticed the coat... meep? I'm enjoying SPN but I'm no longer fannish about it. It's nice :)

NEPAL? How cool is that? And they have awesome food, from the little I tried!

Now, more than ever, I'm certain that one day you will rule the world.

Me too, I always meant to watch L&O:UK but it just never happened. Still, eye candy for another day! I'm sure I'll get around do it eventually, and it's not going anywhere.

Haha okay, I will watch that Merlin ep and attempt to not get sucked into the entire show forever. :P

Same here, about enjoying SPN but no longer being so fannish.

Actually I can't tell the difference between Nepalese food and Indian food, but both are so amazing that I don't care.

But lolol I am not the world ruler, that's Misha.

I went WWOOF-ing in the UK last summer and it was really cool!

However, it's better to prepare for the worst. I met some experienced WWOOFers who had been on some farms that treated the volunteers like slaves. Most of the hosts are very nice though:)

Also, sometimes the hosts are a little vague on their actual living environment around there. My first farm did not mention the lack of a proper water supply and electricity (I spent 1 week washing myself with a cloth and a bowl of water, before me and two other volunteers decided to dig a trench and lay down a basic pipe system to a well on top of the hill). But it was really, really cool!

I love animals and chose my farms accordingly, so the farms I went to were all in the countryside. If living a medieval/primitive lifestyle is not your thing, you can choose the ones near a city.

OK. I should stop rambling now or I never will. Basically, DO IT!

P.S. It'll be awesome if you stay somewhere with Internet access though, because I'd LOVE to see your reaction post if/when Cas comes back to SPN (he is coming back, he is).

P.P.S. It's better to apply 2 or 3 months beforehand, since some of the hosts do not have Internet and will only check their mails once or twice a months when they're in town for supply run.

Dude, that sounds awesome. And you are so very resourceful! What kind of farm were you on and how long were you there for?

I would love to get something in the countryside, maybe with horses or something. That would be a dream. Horses and internet, of course. ;)

The hosts that do have internet are quicker to reply, right? If they don't have internet I probably couldn't go there anyway! Wouldn't miss Castiel's return for anything. NOT EVEN HORSES.

Anyway thanks so much for sharing!

Interesting to read the comments you get about WWOOF. I looked into setting up as a WWOOF host once in the past. (I have a farm, 9 horses, dairy goats, organically raised free range chickens, and an extensive garden). I ended up kind of getting scared away from it though. Seems like there are a lot more positive experiences now, than when I looked into it before. It's something I might reconsider at some point...thanks for bringing it to mind again!
