Have you ever seen anything this beautiful?

Please let next season not be Neal keeping the art out of hurt, spiteful defiance and Peter catching him red-handed and being disappointed forever. Srsly, show. I want to think Neal will tell him about it, but I doubt he will. Maybe he would have if Peter had trusted him, but Peter didn't trust him, and maybe Neal thinks he never will, and Neal is still a conman at heart, and this is so so so much temptation. :(

Anyway, theory time!

[Poll #1715910]

Also, tell me why!

P.S. Why has no one claimed the SPN/Fringe crossover prompt over at [livejournal.com profile] deancastiel's birthday challenge yet (hint: it's March 19th)? THIS IS BREAKING MY HEART, GUYS. Fringe is the best thing since, well, White Collar.

OH BOYS ILU. (also, I put Kate, because that theory made me lol, but I hope it isn't her, because there doesn't need to be any more chemistry-deficient scenes between them. The most obvious answer is Alex. The other answer that I would like it to be is Sara :D)

I hope it isn't her, because there doesn't need to be any more chemistry-deficient scenes between them.

That's exactly the reason I didn't choose her. Srsly this would be such an amazing plot twist but I DNW JUST BECAUSE THE ACTRESS HAS ZERO CHEMISTRY WITH MATT BOMER. :(

I can't help but think Alex would keep the art for herself if she had it, which is why I went with Sara. She sort of popped up out of nowhere (even if she was in an episode or two before) and is suddenly super interested in Neal why? Everyone on this show is hiding something, and hers is the angle that's most unclear.

White Collar, oh you do such things to me. Yeah, I'm worried Neal won't report the stash to Peter out of hurt -- well if that's what Peter thinks of him fine then he'll be that criminal! When he really isn't. They will sort out their trust issues. They will! And I thought "prove it" was both angry/petulant and a way to goad Peter because Neal knows Peter is good at this and will discover Neal is innocent. *wibble*

My pick is Kate just because it would be cool if she is still alive and some sort of mastermind.

Date: 2011-03-10 12:10 am (UTC)
From: [identity profile] tracy.livejournal.com
He really wasn't, but what if Peter's distrust turns him back into that criminal? :( Of course I know they'll sort out their trust issues eventually, but I'm kind of afraid of how long it will take.

His "prove it" really was very petulant, though, awwwwwwwwww. Neal the giant bundle of hurt and petulance is too much for me to handle, WHY CAN'T I HUG HIM? (This is becoming a theme with my favorite characters lolol. *facepalm*)

I would LOVE the Kate storyline if the actress had any chemistry with Matt Bomer, but she doesn't, so. :(

Elizabeth, for the crack. Or potentially brilliant subterfuge, depending on how on the writing is.

I'm two series behind with fringe, I have been meaning to rectify that though. Of course I'm also about ten episodes behind with SPN...

Haha! That would be really interesting, but on the other hand, one of the things I really love about El is that she's the most straightforward and honest person on the show, and I don't want to lose that.

I would almost encourage you to watch Fringe first. -.-

My thoughts on WhiCo are as follows:

1. OT3 FOREVER AND EVER. *draws sparkly hearts around them the way the show does* (I mean, for reals, that whole dinner sequence? Where El compares Neal to their marriage and then says that he's made things better? And the bit over the hatch where Neal says "If this doesn't work" and Peter just says "Yeah. Me too."

It's just so !!!!!)

2. DON'T FIGHT PETER&NEAL!

3. SECRET NAZI TREASURE!

4. There was a criminal character called Eames and thus I am calling Skybird (http://windswept-fic.livejournal.com/38329.html) canon.

5. DON'T FIGHT PETER&NEAL!

(It was a traumatic sort of day, TV wise, I watched the last Greek ever, Supernatural did a very bad wrong thing, House was pretty intense, Glee actually broke my heart (Oh, Santana! </3), Being Human was just death and stabbing and horrible things (and some naked Robson Green, so not all bad I guess) - it was a ridiculous catch up day.) 6. Also - I think that it's solely WhiCo's fault that my response to any vaguely love triangle shenanigans is now: OT3! Problems in Bones? OT3! Problems in Greek? OT3! It's getting a little out of control. And, finally, FRINGE IS SO AMAZING RN, TRACY, I CAN'T EVEN DEAL WITH IT. I KEEP TRYING TO WRITE STUFF ABOUT IT BUT ALL I'VE GOT IS: !!!! AND \O/ AND :((((( AND :DDDDD AND ???? WHICH, I THINK WE CAN AGREE, IS NOT CONSTRUCTIVE IN ANY WAY.

1. OH GOD RIGHT? AND NEAL AND PETER SITTING AT THE TABLE TOGETHER, AND PETER TELLING NEAL THAT HE'S THE LUCKIEST MAN IN THE WORLD, AND OF COURSE HE MEANS EL BUT ALSO NEAL, YOU KNOW IT. The "If this doesn't work", "Yeah, me too" thing was so-- shit, dude, I can't even. THEY DON'T EVEN NEED WORDS, THAT'S HOW MUCH THEY GET AND LOVE EACH OTHER.

4. Haven't read that fic, alas. Actually I haven't read any White Collar fic, I don't know how I can love this show so much but not really be inspired to any fannishness.

5. SRSLY PLS MAKE UP SOON. :(

Oh man, I watched House yesterday, and yeah, intense is one word for it! D: I knew it had to end eventually, but still, HURT.

White Collar is also feeding my OT3 love, but instead of Sara/Neal/Alex I still prefer Peter/Neal/El. XD ALTHOUGH I DO LOVE ALEX AND KIND OF SHIP HER WITH NEAL IF ONLY BECAUSE SHE'S SO IN LOVE WITH HIM BUT NOT AT ALL A WHINY POSSESSIVE BITCH ABOUT IT.

UGH FRINGE IDEK, THE WAY IT BLOWS ME AWAY WEEK AFTER WEEK IS ALMOST REMINISCENT OF BSG AND I CAN'T DO MUCH MORE THAN JKLSKDJFKLD ABOUT IT EITHER.

Sara's the one who's motivations are least clear out of everyone, so she's my guess. Plus Alex seems like the type to keep it for herself if she had all that art.

Pretty Neal! Neal/Peter/El! Yay, show!

You know, I agree that Alex would probably want to keep it for herself, and I think Sara has more going on than we know thus far, but my money's still with Alex. I think in the choice between leaving the stash with Adler or giving it to Neal, she'd choose Neal. Or maybe it's neither, and that's the mystery for next season.

I don't like to put too much trust in any show to be cool, but last time White Collar tried to pull the whole, "Peter is the man with the ring and is playing Neal!" they just explained why immediately. Same with the mislead on Diana having the music box in her closet. They just like to pull tricks in the last 30 seconds to make a neat cliffhanger, but I really hope/don't think they're going to string out that emo mess for a whole season. I kind of think Neal will immediately tell Peter, "Hey! Found the Nazi art!" and they'll be square. WC has just been really good with not sowing unnecessary strife between their main cast just to create drama.

On a nitpicky note, I gotta say, I don't understand how anyone moved that truly massive pile of priceless art anywhere without people noticing, just like I don't understand how Adler retrieved an entire U-boat and hid it in a warehouse without anyone noticing. I don't care when or how you do that, someone notices you just un-submerged a giant ass submarine and dragged it inside.

Love the idea of it being Sara (although in reality, Alex makes more sense, but then she's playing Neal, right? Because she wants it for herself, obv.)

And ITA about the lack of chemistry with Kate, which is amazing considering Matt Bomer has chemistry with absolutely everybody else.

And he can definitely give Jensen a run for his money - dear God, what is in the water in Texas?????

*swoons at his gorgeous eyes*

I could see Alex being somehow unable to fence it off now and leaving it to Neal for safekeeping until she can steal it back from him.

Matt Bomer has more chemistry with Peter's dog than he has with the woman who plays the love of his life. Whyyyy. T_T

Srsly, I may have to rethink my general attitude of not being interested in going to Texas.

Considering the man responsible for pulling the strings over the past two seasons was gunned down by Peter, I'm thinking the one who gave Neal the art is going to be someone we've never seen before. Or, it could possibly have been Keller. He seems to enjoy tormenting Neal, and what better way to do it than to destroy the one good relationship in his life?

Date: 2011-03-11 02:44 am (UTC)
From: [identity profile] tracy.livejournal.com
I think Keller is wayyy too selfish to give all of that to Neal, but then again I think that about Alex too and she seems a likely candidate. *shrug*

WHITE COLLAR MAKES ME HAPPY IN MY PANTS.

I went with Kate, because it's the only choice that makes sense. She prob has the skill to do the art-swap (since she spent so much time with Neal) and if she did live, she was prob scheming a way to continue with their plan (disappear into the night together). She also knows that the only way to get Neal to take off with her is to break him up with Peter, which is why she put Neal's art in the warehouse so that Peter would clutch his pearls and accuse Neal of thievery! It's quite clever, actually.

I like to think that it will backfire on her, though, because I believe that Neal WILL tell Peter right away and then give him guilt for accusing his bbf/boyfriend of such treachery. Then they will look at each other with moon-eyes before figuring out who could have done such a thing!

P.S. I agree with you that the Kate!actress has no chemistry with the Bomer. Neal clearly belongs sandwiched b/w El and Peter with Sara. :-)

I KNOW THE FEELING.

Yes, I am pretty in love with the theory of it being Kate precisely because it is so clever, as you said, but that stupid lack of chemistry thing is getting in the way! :(

You know what would be really cool? If it is Kate and they figure it out and that somehow makes Neal let go of her for good. I mean, I know he already gave Peter the ring that was meant for Kate, but he's obviously still not completely over her yet.

I kinda ship Neal/Alex, tbh. XD

Hi I hope you don't mind comments from some random stranger who stalkslurks for your fic recs but I have no one to talk White Collar with.

So I don't know how you feel about spoilers but I've seen some theories However, my own theory, which I think is unlikley but I really like, is Peter. Like Peter's cooking up some crazy plan and he had to make it look good. After all they did throw in that little scene where Neal tells Peter about his storage full of art.

CAFFREY YOU WOMANIZER. IT'S A GOOD THING YOU'RE SO PRETTY. Seriously. I'd go so far to say that Caffrey *is* prettier than Dean (I think it may be the suits; I have a strong suit fixation that I really can't explain.)

This is probably the only show I don't slash because the characters mesh so perfectly in a completely platonic manner. [livejournal.com profile] kripkes_angel and I agree that Elizabeth is the mother unit, Peter is the father unit, and Neal is that kid unit they didn't actually plan for but love all the same. (Alternatively, we also think that Neal is El's pet dog. Which, you know, I wouldn't mind seeing the guy in a collar, or in handcuffs, or restrained, or...).

Also, I <3 Diana. I wish we could see her mythical girlfriend. I mean, we see Neal's romantic interests all the time; Diana should totally get some screen time with her romantic interest, too.

Oops, didn't answer the poll question. I picked Alex. Mostly because that's the only one that made sense. Also, I sort of want to see more of Alex being awesome, but less of Alex being ridiculously enamored/pine-y. I like to think she could do better than that. I think she'd get a kick out of putting Caffrey in that moral dilemma.
