Ship, I love you so fucking much. Dean asking for days for Cas to be there and Cas wishing he could but not being able to and Dean's hurt disappointment and lashing out about how Cas isn't "human" anymore and WONDERING WHAT HAPPENED TO HIS BUDDY CAS WHO CAME WHEN HE NEEDED HIM and not just because of some heavenly weapon and NICE SEEING YOU ANYWAY, SO ANGRILY PASSIVE AGGRESSIVE AWWW DEAN. And Cas wanting him to not be so mad ALSO POURING HIM A DRINK LIKE IT'S THE MOST NATURAL THING IN THE WORLD. I love how he does it so casually, like even if he's not around much anymore they still fall into a comfortable routine of helping each other out with little things without even noticing. Dean accepts it even while feeling all bitter and abandoned and shippppp HAVE I MENTIONED I LOVE YOU?

I've only been able to watch this without sound, because I'm at work, but even so I was fucking blown away by the intensity just crackling between these two (maybe even more potent without sound, who knows?)... Shit, I've missed this. It's so potent how they keep trying and failing to make eye contact.

Also weird: I had flashbacks to every confrontational reunion I've ever had with an ex. I might have even accused one or two of them of not being human in the process. Either I'm way more like Dean than I realize, or we should expect some off-screen makeup sex. Just sayin'...

I just watched it on mute, and I did pick up on some of the subtle body language stuff that I hadn't really paid attention to before. You're right, so so so very potent, it's the same intense chemistry they've had since their very first scene together and I love that they haven't lost that at all.

It does sort of scream confrontation reunion with the ex, doesn't it? XD
