I had grown to love Gabriel, mainly because he was on our side and you could see it in how he acted around humanity. He cared. And it kills me that he's dead. I wanted him to join Team Free Will! It would've been epic.
And Sam would totally have his own angel to be all awesome with.
Btw, REHKA! She was BAMF. I loved her trying to fry Lucy (which reminds me that Gabriel called him Lucy which had me all squee!). She was an epic Kali.
I was disappointed at first when I realized that Misha's name wasn't on the credited list. Then I realized that the writers did make a good choice, really, because what would he have done? It was more about Gabriel finally standing up to his big brother, his family, and doing what he believed was right. We already had Cas do that. Multiple times.
Now, before this gets anymore rambling, I am going to sleep. I have watched that episode too many times and been mopey over Gabriel's death. So, now I'm going to dream dreams where Gabriel didn't die and they all lived in a country house. Because I'm that pathetic.
