Things that were awesome:

• The abundance of snow at Winter Park. \o/
  
• My unicorn socks! Seriously, I was excited about these, okay.
  
  
• Feeling like Dean what with all the driving long hours and crashing in seedy motels. I even slept in the bed closest to the door!
  
• Seeing and snowboarding with college buddies.

Things that were slightly hilarious, in retrospect:

• Partying it up with said college buddies on Friday night in Golden, which is the Colorado School of Mines college town, and passing out drunk in a hotel room amongst six mostly-naked dudes, four of whom I'd never met before. Some of them were all cuddled up together in bed, gay jokes abound! XD
  
• Stabbing myself upon a tree. Admittedly this happens once on every snowboarding trip, to the point where I'm almost relieved when I get it over with because that means I (probably) won't do it again.
  
• Resting beside a perfectly innocent-looking tree only to have it dump a huge branchful of snow on top of my head and down my jacket. I took the hint.

Things that were not awesome or hilarious:

• Having my father call me at four in the fucking morning the night I spent in Golden to ask if I was sleeping with my ex. I mean, I was, but still, I'm 23 fucking years old, it's none of his goddamn business who I sleep with. And anyway, we were just sleeping!
  
• Getting sunburnt and being peel-y. :(

So, how was your week? Everyone who went to JIB had a blast, right? I'll try, but I don't think I'll manage to catch up with my entire flist, so link me to your posts and awesome fics and things! And speaking of my flist, I really gotta downsize a bit, sorry. :(

99 PROBLEMS WAS AMAZING. Let me count the ways.

1. Dean immediately recognizing Enochian for what it is. Because Cas has been whispering it to him in bed every night, obviously. :D
   


2. "I don't understand why, why do you want me to say my name. *random number stabbing*" WHY SO ADORABLE, CAS?
   


3. SAMMY stepping it up and being the one with resolve when Dean and Castiel have none. ♥
   


4. CASTIEL FINDING THE SOUND OF SAM'S VOICE GRATING LOLOL his whole drunken rant about Sam's message is amazing.
   


5. I FOUND A LIQUOR STORE. AND I DRANK IT. It's a little sad to picture Cas drinking an entire liquor store by himself, but on the other hand, it's also hilarious.
   


6. Not a Sam/Cas shipper but this is a little cute. And also sad. Cas, bb, I want you to be okay. :(
   


7. "Tell me what you need." Aww, Cas, at the end of his own rope and still committed to helping out the Winchesters. ♥
   


8. Hand on the shoulder when Cas is looking particularly sick, all while Sam is talking. Sam's concern for him is so casually comforting. ♥
   


9. DEAN MISSING CAS. The more annoyed he looks now, the more worried he was when Cas went missing. ♥
   


10. ON A BENDER. So snappy, this angel. ♥

12. "It is not of import." IDK why, but I love it when Castiel says "not of import" IT IS SUCH A CAS THING TO SAY. Also, very pretty fingers.

16. Wanting Sam and Dean to think his joke is funny. His hopeful little YOU WILL LAUGH NOW? look omggg.
    


17. Thinking that SURELY Dean will appreciate his sex joke even if Sam doesn't.
    


18. Being slightly defensive when Sam and Dean don't think his joke is funny, poor angel. XD
    


19. I like it when Sam and Cas look at each other. I like that they are FRIENDS. ♥
    


20. Cas shoots Dean down about being a true servant of Heaven and DEAN'S LITTLE ALMOST-OFFENDED EYEBROW QUIRK. I find it hilarious.
    
    


21. Castiel's utter lack of tact, calling Sam an abomination. So brutally literal, poor Sammy.
    


22. Castiel saying "I'm an angel of the Lord" so hesitantly and reluctantly breaks my heart a little. He was so full of conviction back when he first said it to Dean. :(
    


23. Dean just KNOWING exactly what Castiel must have said. ♥
    


24. His dejected self-esteem issues MAKE ME SAD. First with the "not me" and then with the "poor example of [an angel]" aww, Cas. Please hug him, Dean. :(
    


25. It's unfortunate that he has a headache, but on the bright side, hand!porn! \o/
    


26. DEAN TAKING CARE OF HIM IN HIS OWN WAY. Even though I kind of want to yell at him for giving Cas pills, DO YOU NOT REMEMBER FUTURE!CAS AT ALL? D: I am torn.
    


27. Dean's neck. And, of course, making sure Cas knows he's not alone. Talking about his FEELINGS. OTPeeeeeeeeeee, ILUSM. ♥
    


28. Cas looking up at him for friendship and support and all things OTP and fjdlskjfskl I LOVE THIS SCENE SO MUCH. They haven't really had a scene like this since the Impala scene in 5x03.
    


29. CAS WHUMP. !!! It was so random lol.
    


30. Dean being a true servant of Heaven. I'm not sure how I feel about this, honestly. But he's hot while he serves!
    


31. OTP. OTP SUPPORTING EACH OTHER AND HOLDING HANDS. *DRAWS HEARTS FOREVER*

33. Castiel in bed. Again! Where are the fics about Dean CRAWLING INTO BED WITH HIM? I know they're out there.
    

I feel like I should come up with 99 ways this episode was amazing, but a third of that will have to do because I kind of want to rewatch that clip from next week's episode a few hundred more times.

In conclusion: I LOVED THIS EPISODE. Even with the implied Dean/Lisa. It doesn't bother me because there's no way he really loves her. He might be in love with the idea of her (lol for those who watch White Collar, Neal/Kate, anyone?) and Ben and having that family, but he doesn't even know her at all. If they actually got together and tried to lead a normal life, she'd never live up to the perfect image he's painted in his head. Castiel, on the other hand, knows him. Which is why Dean obviously returned to CRAWL INTO BED WITH HIM later.

So, DON'T link me to wank about Lisa or all the times they threw around the word "whore" or any of the other things I'm told there was wank about. I don't wanna see it. :P

ETA: Pictures in comments very NWS and disturbing. But at least they're collapsed. Don't look at me, everything is piperdox and ibroketuesday's fault.

Tree stabbing, snow dumping and Daddy busybody nonsense aside it sounds like an awesome trip. :D Seedy motels ftw! \o/ I stayed in my own Winchester Special, as we called it, during our drive to Cali. Was awesome in the awesome-that's-not-quite-so-awesome kind of way, cause scratchy towels and motel soap suck but it was still awesome. =D

Also? Love your recap of 99 Problems. I pretty much agree with everything. While I do get lulz out of drunken and broken Cas, I kinda miss the mystique he had before and that sens of power he had. I don't find it in character cause the Castiel we met had such wonder and even though he threw his lot in with Dean, he did so believing it was for his father's cause. But now, he's lost sight of that. Dude, if Joshua is rooting for them and he's the one who talks to god then Cas can't be too far off the right path but instead of keeping that wonder and conviction, he's dwindling down and losing himself. He's gotten so bitter that it breaks my heart.

All the boys are breaking my heart lately. And dude! WTF was up with the Lisa bit? Dean has every right to be happy and if Lisa's it then great but that was a bit of a tack-on. Okay, so yeah I ship Dean/Cas and that makes me biased but since the writers will never go there in canon, I'm open to them doing something for Dean but make it believable, eh? Spend some time on it! Like you, I can't help but wonder if Dean loves the idea of being with Lisa and the kid.

And I think I'll stop ranting on your journal now. :) Cause I have like loads more I could say but that's what my journal is for. ;)

Hee, I know what you mean by awesome-that's-not-quite-so-awesome, that's exactly how this motel was. Terrible, but Winchester-awesome.

I dunno if you do spoilers, but lemme just say that Castiel's mystique and sense of power are not gone! Though I agree, it breaks my heart too to see him so downtrodden and listless and empty. I just hope it gets better for him before the end and that he finds his faith again.

Ehh, I think the Lisa thing actually makes sense, she was the only one with a son who Dean thought could've been his, and he's been craving that family thing a lot lately. He has no one else to picture as his wife and kid, you know?

This episode made me both sad and gleeful. I was happy because CAS :D and sad because CAS D: It's like a double hit. But Cas + Phone = epic squee. I mean, every time he is mentioned with his phone, it makes me giggle. Poor bb and his failure to understand technology.

There is also his liquor comment and his Sam comment and his FAILURE TO TELL A JOKE PROPERLY. I love that he has such nerdy humour. Cas, you are adorkable.

I also found that Dean was more in love with the IDEA of Lisa, as when him and Sam are talking about the whole 'settling down, blah blah blah' thing. It makes sense that Dean's ideal would be having a wife, a kid, and no apocalypse. I still think he should get a house with Sam and Cas though. They are much more entertaining and the endless humour would be epic.

SO MUCH WORD. And anyway, I love Lisa and I'm so grateful they picked her as Dean's ideal of woman, because it makes so much sense! (and also I'm almost sure we'll discover Ben is Dean's son), but I also think that Dean is more in love with the idea of a family than with Lisa per se, and this breaks my heart even more than usual.

You KNOW that was Dean's bed, where Cas was lying. :D:D:D And that scene by the Impala with Dean giving Cas pills, OMG THE OTP. Well, of course, it wouldn't make sense for Cas to lie in any other bed than the one he's already used to. :D Sam and Castiel's friendship is SO AWKWARD at times but so geeky and I LOVE IT SO MUCH.

He did look worried, but I got the impression he was just worried for Cas's loss of faith rather than Cas turning into 2014!Cas.

Thanks for posting Tracy. Misha/Cas was simply amazing this episode. Yes, the writers finally gave him things to work with but he made every moment resonate. He and Dean are so broken and lost. I adore them. And I love the fact that Sam and Cas are friends. This is something they have laid the groundwork for (albeit sketchily) but it's so nice to see where they have come from since the anti-christ episode. Granted Cas still thinks Sam is an abomination but it's in a oh yea, my friend has a demon blood addiction. Their friendship was a highlight.

And I loved all the moments you mentioned between Dean and Cas.

I think the thing that resonates for me is how broken Cas is too. Yes, Dean is the one breaking into shattered pieces and on the verge of yesing but Cas seems so very broken and lost. They both need to hug each other. In fact, group hug. Yes, Dean crawl into that bed and comfort that angel.

I rewatched Buffy season 5 over the weekend and it just struck me how much Buffy was Dean that season. She is so focused on saving Dawn and all the talk of the apocalypse just kept me going what would Sam,Cas and Dean do here?

Every single Cas moment was gold, as usual. ♥ LOL at "oh yeah, my friend has a demon blood addiction" hahha it's so true. Cas said that abomination line so matter-of-factly, but he doesn't judge Sam for it anymore, which I adore. Their relationship is so awkward sometimes but all the more awesome because of it.

I want them to fix each other please. :(

Alas, Buffy is one of those shows I always meant to watch but never did. Feel free to be horrified.

I loved this episode as well. It was great, had interesting plot, fantastic secondary characters - Padre FTW! - and finally showed us some more of Team Fre Will's cooperation. ;) It was enterntaining and funny at moments, and scary at others and oooverall AMAZING. <333333

Dean, so pretty when killing evil. Plus double hand glee, with both Misha and Jared's hands splayed so prettily. I also adored the line, "It's not of import." Misha's delivery throughout this episode is wonderful.

I thought that the Tracy at JIB was you, because when someone asked Misha a question she said "I am Tracy from US" and he was all like 'Yeah, Tracy, I know you" (from the lurker he is in all communities regarding Castiel in some way ;P)
Anyway, it was a blast indeed and it's great that there's gonna be one in 2011 again. Can't wait to see them again ;D !

Whoa, what? It wasn't me, did he seriously think it was..? Damn, I need to catch up on everything that happened at JIB. I watched some vids but they were all about a minute each and so far I haven't found complete panels. Sounds like it was a blast, though, I'm glad you had fun! :D
